About me

Hello and welcome to my page. Chances are you’re visiting because I referenced this page on my resume. Here’s some info about my experience and skills in the tech field.

(c) Heinz Nixdorf MuseumsForum / Jan Braun (CC BY-NC-SA) I’m a software engineer who’s been involved with computers since the days of the IBM PC XT .

My fascination with bbs's in the mid 90’s has lead my curiosity to come across linux distributions like Suse Linux , Slackware and Mandrake . Ever since, I was hooked.

My career started with various webdev ranging from backend vanilla php and various frameworks such as laravel and symfony , to frontend js dev where I started before jQuery was even out. As a fullstack developer I have also had the chance to make use of frontend projects including, but not limited to reactjs and angularjs .

During my time as a programmer I have also managed a few teams. Hence I am quite familiar with agile software methodologies such as scrum. In this period I have participated in numerous pair programming sessions and code reviews.

After that and precisely in 2017 I slowly started making my move into the infrastructure world. I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside a team that was managing a few hundred bare metal servers.

This has allowed me to transition into a devops role mostly orchestrating containers on gcp. Other technologies I’ve used in my last role consist of a mix of python , terraform , k8s , golang and bash .

My hobbies basically consist of Scuba diving and music to which I’ve also written a couple of words.
I also like to fiddle around with my raspberry pi.

This site is and will probably always be under constant construction.
